Our AuthorsAnimal Crossing players buy Santa Claus costumes to distribute gifts to villagers
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has its own version of Santa Claus: one is the reindeer, the other is you. This is the expectation of Jingdang and Toy Festival.
For Nintendo Switch's "Animal Crossing: New Horizons", this is an amazing year, and there are some festive events in the store to package 2020. There is no Santa Claus in Animal Crossing, but one or two characters are the next best characters.
Before the end of November, players will experience "Harvest Day" (the Thanksgiving version of Animal Crossing), and there may be cheap Animal Crossing New Horizons Bells on sale that day. This includes a new NPC for "New Vision", namely Franklin the Turkey. As seen in previous games in the series, Christmas and New Year events are also planned in the store. The Christmas event of the Animal Crossing series is called "Toy Day", which is a holiday celebrated on December 24, just like the eve of the holiday on which it is based.
In the last game of the series, Animal Crossing: New Leaves, players can find the perfect gift for villagers throughout December, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons is likely to follow suit. There has never been a fat bearded man giving gifts in Animal Crossing-after all, every character is an animal except the player. Instead, Santa’s responsibility falls on another new NPC, the Reindeer Jingle, that will be introduced in New Horizons.
Reindeer Jingdang is equivalent to Santa Claus in "Animal Crossing: New Horizons", similar to the way Zipper T. Bunny resembles the Easter Bunny in the "Bunny Festival" event??. But unlike the reliable old saint Nick, Ding Dangle expresses himself to players-at least in "Animal Crossing: New Leaves" that he doesn't want to give gifts on Toy Day. He said he wanted others to dress like Santa Claus. Of course, the player is expected to play this role. In essence, the Santa Claus of Animal Crossing is a combination of Jingle and the player.
During the month from December 1st to 24th, players can purchase Santa Claus costumes and matching accessories from Able Sisters and Kicks in Animal Crossing. Villagers will hint to players what kind of holiday gifts they hope to get on "Toy Day". In Animal Crossing: New Leaves, the jingle can be found in the square until 6 pm that day. In order for players to receive his gifts, they must wear clothes like Santa Claus and distribute holiday gifts to their villagers. Animal Crossing: New Horizons may implement a similar operation. Players must wear Santa’s hat, beard, jacket, pants and boots when performing Chris Kingler’s duties.
When wearing costumes on Animal Crossing's "Toy Day", neighbors believe that talents wearing Santa Claus clothes are a real deal and will ask players to provide the gifts they want. After distribution, players can talk to Ding Dang to obtain holiday-themed items, just like Franklin distributes harvest-themed items in the "Harvest Day" of "Animal Crossing". Distributing the correct items may be rewarded with Animal Crossing Bells. In "Animal Crossing: New Leaves", players will receive a photo of Ding Dangle via email the next day. It will be interesting to see the changes in "Animal Crossing: New Horizons". The holiday update is expected to be released later this month.
