So , as we get to the last few sections from Season of Mastery and Burning Crusade Classic I've been contemplating which season the following one bring. The things I am thinking about are what expect from classic moving forward, what I expect to see in the traditional team and what new classic expansions we will see. It made me want not just bring all of them in one place but also to open an open discussion with the entire community about what we expect in the old team. Here's the list of items I've gathered:

"Summer of NoChanges": classic vanilla, with the absence of any xp/gold/etc. changes that we saw this year. However, given that we mainly have this with classic servers and that those servers are essentially gone, I believe we can conclude that this issue isn't very much on people's minds, particularly for the classic team.

The Season of Mastery 2: carbon copy of the previous SoM without any other modifications. Most likely, what happens along...

The season of BCC: Burning Crusade Classic with a seasonal format that includes some minor changes similar to the ones we saw this year's SoM. This is likely to be something we'll hear about at the end of next year.

Season of Balance: I've seen the idea floating around, and it's just too ideal to not be possible. Vanilla SoM that includes balance adjustments to allow for "meme specifications" more feasible. Some people have suggested that they'd even like 1 for 1 crusade balance adjustments in Vanilla and the main reason they do not play BCC is that they think that outland/BC content is more boring than vanilla level 60 content. More I see of this concept circulated, the more I love it. This could mean small adjustments to correct off-meta specs the addition of races with different classes, such as dwarf shamans, tauren paladins and troll druids. the inclusion of blood dragons and draenei (or even blood and high elves in order to maintain the Azeroth-only atmosphere,) and more. Personally, I'd like to see, but I can also imagine the classic team being not interested in this.

Season of ClassicPlus: Vanilla but with new raids and new content. The basic idea is the same as OSRS does and the evidence is that players would enjoy it. Further adventures in Azeroth but with the 60-cap. Perhaps it could be possible to include Outland or Northrend but they're capped at 60. There's still the need to play AQ and Naxx in conjunction with SWP along with ICC. We're sure this will not occur, even though it's a popular concept and was a part of OSRS.

The list of servers includes Cata Classic, Panda Classic, etc. There are many reasons to be presented that ICC is the last patch for the classic game experience. The major reasons are that WotLK's highest players in the history of WoW Cataclysm is an "wow 2" and that people will not be as excited about "wow 2 classic" we've been through everything. There is a need for other expansions "classic" server, particularly the possibility of Pandaria as well as Legion Classic (the latter of which I would personally like.) But, they're unlikely to skip expansions. And there's not nearly enough need for Cataclysm as well as Draenor classic (though the idea of the possibility of a Draenor Classic + complete with cut-content would be nice.) It's highly likely that you won't ever see them.

This is why I'm trying to discuss the topic with the other members of the classic community and find out what we think. What do we want to be seeing coming from World of Warcraft Classic? World of Warcraft Classic brand and what are we hoping to see from them in the coming years? We appreciate your feedback and remember that no matter how much we love our trips across Azeroth or beyond each opinion is legitimate.

It occurred to me while writing this was the concept of merging servers and launch with fewer servers. Personally, I'd prefer to see the next season of mastery performed on just 2 or 3 servers for each region, and with as much layering as needed. I believe that this could artificially boost the impression of a bustling and bustling world. In reality, I'm certain they'll lower server counts a bit.
