Our AuthorsGame update: new skills archeology here!
This is the moment you have been waiting for: archeology is here and you can start playing now! But before you catch your bantam to the unknown land, you need to pay attention to this important information ...
Archeology
Note: As a large number of players try to log in to the game and load assets, playing and/or logging in may be more difficult. If so, wait for a while before trying to log in again. Thank you for your patience and meet everyone at Varrock!
To get started with archeology, you need to go to the Archeology Association for some on-site training. After that, you can enter Kharid-et, where Dr. Nabanik completes important tasks for you.
You will need a lot of archaeological acumen to fully explore all five excavation sites, so you don't have to worry about the next large-scale excavation-you will come back with new knowledge and discover more treasures. Is there any cheaper RuneScape gold than this?
Here are some unlocks you can expect at each level:
5 Dig Website: Kharid-et
20 Dig: Source of Hell
42 Dig Site: Eternal Light
68 Ancient summoned binding contract. Mysterious Request: Goodbye Grandpa
70 Dig: Stormwind City
76 Dig Site: War!
95 Blueprints of Ancient Inventions. Mysterious request: Howl's floating workshop
99 Mastery
120 Mastery
Needless to say, at each level, you can unlock new artifacts, new artifacts, and new jobs – but there will be no spoilers in this newsletter, thank you very much!
That said, we've put together a list of everything we've found so far, and you can check it out here.
Archeology 101
The core cycle of archeology seems simple: you will use mats to dig artifacts, soil, and materials. You will then use the collected materials to restore the artifacts, or you will screen in the soil to use more materials.
After that, it's up to you! You can sell carefully restored artifacts to private collectors, donate them to the Varrock Museum, save them yourself, or even break them down into old and new inventions!
Amnesty
For cloak hunters, archaeology will have a grace period of six months after release. This is what the game mechanics mean:
Cape
After logging in on March 30, you will lose:
Max Cape
Finisher Cloak
Trimmed Cape Cloak
Gatherer's Cloak
If you reach a level of 99 archeology within a six-month grace period, you will get a "finisher" and a "trimmed cloak", and a maximum cape of "99". If you haven't completed this requirement by the end of the grace period, then you must have reached 120 archeology to get a finisher and pruning cape.
Archeology is packed with new achievements, some of which are necessary to get the "achievement mantle"-so watch out and remove them from the list right away!
You will not lose Master Quest Cape when you log in, but if you do not meet the requirements, you will lose it after 6 months.
Booster
To make the 99 and 120 archeological competitions fair to all, some enhancements will be disabled during the grace period:
Improve work efficiency:
Skill Champion
Archeological skills and equipment (normal, not elite. Only available through gameplay).
Archeology Elite Skill Set (available only through the game)
The privilege of inventing tools (not Wise, but other privileges such as Honed / Furnace / New)
Invalid enhancements:
Aura of Wisdom and Wisdom
Refer a friend bonus
Clan Avatar Bonus
Experience lights
Reward XP
Incense
Pulse core and cinder core
Other XP boost items
A note about shared accounts
The competition to enter the top of HiScore will be very fierce, and unfair behavior will be exposed, but you can buy OSRS gold at any time.
