Journal of archaeology: storm guard castle

The "top people" of the Gielinor Gazette had slipped into the examination center and (in a series of humorous and improbable incidents, perhaps some of the more terrifying stuff) managed to get hold of professor Tony's journal of archaeology! Let's look inside...

Wahey! Thanks to our successful mission on anachronism, we have received another round of funding. How much RuneScape gold do you want? Now we can finally start the real archaeology! Unfortunately, we haven't heard from busybody parkers trying to get us to dig up their neighbors' fields or investigate their bar basements. Rubbish!

But this time seems different -- like a real challenge.

It all started when we received a letter from these strange people at the ikov temple. Apparently, they found an unusual portal structure of the bird's design, inscribed with the words "storm guard." When I showed it to our specialist jica, she almost flew off the ceiling!

Stormguard seems to refer to Stormguard Citadel, a magical floating castle that was once home to the most prominent bird inventors. Imagine what technology these feather-makers are working on!

Unfortunately, a terrible thing happened at the height of the battle of god when storm guard castle was blown to pieces, leaving no known survivors. At all costs, we must find out what happened to turn Canadair's great laboratory into a floating pile of rubble, bringing closure to the poor souls who died in the explosion.

It seems that if we choose to continue digging, we need to take a creative approach. If it reaches storm guard castle, it will float a few miles above giellino -- I wonder if there will be a well-marked path to follow while we are there! Thank god I had a clever plan...

If Stormguard Citadel is really behind the technology used in the clash, then I bet we'll find a lot of interesting secrets and interesting characters. In particular, an ornithologist named Hal appears in many of the preliminary data we have collected. Our sources tell me that this is almost certainly a code name, so this "howling" guy must be hard to pin down, even in life.

One thing we do know is that the study of Hal involves something called aetherium, which he used to create his "masterpiece" -- I wonder what that is? So much for the few excerpts, we managed to collect, but think about the rest of the science we can get by finding out! The thought of it almost made my head swim with delight.

Damn it, I thought I heard rynelf calling me. The sooner we finish this mysterious boulder, the sooner we can do some really exciting digging!

Hrmm, that diary is definitely worth the effort of nine "top dogs" to get it, but there are still many unanswered questions. To see all the information we've collected so far, go to the archaeological portal. Keep an eye out for the next issue of the journal of archaeology, which is about a place called Warforge. Tony seemed excited about it. See you next time, adventurers! And do you believe osrs gold will be 20% cheaper?
