Phosani's Nightmare was released in March 2020. It is the hard-mode version of Old Night Runecape and the hard-mode version of Nightmare. Nightmare is a boss located in Moritania and RS gold will drop valuable and unique items, such as the Dream Staff, Interrogator's Mace, and Coordination Ball. The hard-mode version lasted only a week after the first launch before it was deleted.

At the time of release, Phosani's nightmare had some limitations. On the one hand, players can only fight once a week. This makes its farming potential zero. In addition, Phosani's "Nightmare" mainly exists as a game. Outside of the game, it cannot function well as meaningful content.

New and improved dream Night

At the time, Jagex's Mod Acorn claimed that the studio wanted to put the boss on trial to see if it would be worthwhile to do such a thing in the future. That future has arrived, and Phosani's nightmare is returning to Old School RuneScape as a full-time boss. The release date has not yet been determined, as Jagex is conducting a poll to allow players to provide feedback on its preliminary recommendations.

Jagex suggested some changes to help distinguish Phosani's nightmares from regular nightmares. These changes include increased damage due to incorrect use of prayer, random rotation of stages, more frequent special attacks, and brand new stages for players to learn.

The new boss pet can only be obtained as an exclusive drop of Phosani Dream Night.

As for why the player wants to be the boss, the reward will increase compared to "Ashihama's Nightmare". The most noteworthy new item is the item that can mutate the existing Little Nightmare pet into a rare and harder-to-obtain variant. In addition, regular loot should be improved, and the time required to obtain unique items is "20% faster."
