RS Linux client improvements

The RuneScape Linux client is updated! If this applies to you, read on. If not, you may want to skip this – it has some technicality.

The Linux client is now built for Ubuntu 18.04 and may no longer be suitable for older releases. For Ubuntu, you need to use APT or a software update to update the launcher to play. For other Linux distributions, you will need to manually install a new launcher or wait for updates to any third-party packages you are using. The old launcher may continue to work, but you will miss a lot of improvements.

Here are the improvements you can expect from this release:

Regular game optimization.

Fixed an issue with audio crack hum.

Fixed a possible crash at startup.

Modify the error icon on the game window.

Fixed an issue where the launcher window would not disappear after the game started.

Known problem

The loading time of Minimap resources may be longer than expected.

It may crash when switching between mobile device details options.

The game may hang when wifi is disconnected.

Some devices may crash when first started.

The dragon firewall at Vindicta owner Vindicta & Gorvek will flash, but it will still cause damage.

If you are running on a Mac running OSx Mojave 10.14.1, the game may crash.
