'RuneScape' brings one of its rarest in-game items back to its 20th anniversary

Nov-25-2021 PST Category: runescape

In the new event from now until January 3, 2022, players will be able to get RuneScape Gold a new version of the classic "party hat", which was initially only available during the 2001 Christmas event. Initially available in red, yellow, green, blue, purple or white, RuneScape's "Golden Party Hat Hunting" mission will allow players to unlock a highly sought-after cosmetic with a metallic luster.

Since party hats were initially limited in number for a short time and have been discontinued, any player lucky enough to own them can sell them for billions of game coins. Although these hats are purely decorative and do not provide any attribute rewards, they are currently the most expensive items on major exchanges, reaching the highest price of 2.1 billion gold in 2015.

To obtain or wear a golden party hat, the player must complete "various objectives" and obtain eight golden shards. After collecting all eight, they can be combined into a golden party hat. However, this event not only has a time limit, and each player can only make one golden hat. Just like their predecessors in 2001, Jagex said of  the Golden Hat: "After the deadline, they will no longer be able to make money!"

It remains to be seen whether new items will disrupt the in-game economy and reduce the value of existing party hats, or become new or even better items. However, Jagex will continue to commemorate this moment, transforming the Grand Exchange position in the game into a "golden party hat winter wonderland."

The golden hat is the highest addition to RuneScape's year-long 20th anniversary celebration (sorry). Launched together with the return party hat event is the fourth and final part of the anniversary mission, Huang Feihong, which runs throughout the year.

The title of the chapter is aptly named Finale, and the chapter is described as "The adventure of exploring the past, present, and future of RuneScape ends, and the story line for the mission's villain Relomia is ended."

Finale will see players visit three locations-Black Knight Fortress, World Gate and Sanshimo Island-which may give you a glimpse of the potential future. Completing this chapter will reward players with "four mission points, a new T5 magic dice, the second to last reward track unlocked from the buy osrs gold best site May mission point caravan, a medium-sized XP light, Relomia’s Shadow Tear Family Teleport decoration overlay, two A treasure hunter key" and "a further surprise to be discovered".
